A high priest travels to America with the living mummy Kharis (Lon Chaney Jr.) to kill all those who had desecrated the tomb of the Egyptian princess Ananka thirty years earlier.

OK  I know that Sven went national on the Me-TV network this year. And I understand it has been a lot of fun for his new fans to watch these old Universal movies. But for me I have not watched Svengoolie in weeks and I feel bad. Those of us that have been watching for years have seen all of these more then once already. So I'm truly looking forward to what the network comes up with for the new season. To so everyone out there watching enjoy The Mummy's Tomb witch is an OK movie. And if I remember correctly this is a short movie so there will be a few extra Sven bits and flashback's and best of all a Svensurrond bit at the end. Have a safe and Happy 4Th everybody.

Tonight at 10PM/9 central time on MeTV

Also in Svengoolie news shock waves where felt across the Chicago Land as AT&T Uverse drop MeTV! This sent many fans into a panic. And running to TV shops everywhere to pick up rabbit ears. Sven sent out a tweet earlier that stated "they're working on it" and "down town should be up first followed my the rest of the viewing area" As for me Comcast will only air Me-Too so I get to watch last week show at 11:00am. So I find myself Tivoing them to watch at night it just feels better that way.
Sven also announced he will be a G-Fest on July 14 from 1-3. G-Fest will be held at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare (same place as Flashback Weekend). So if you love giant Japanese Monsters and Svengoolie's check out G-Fan for more info on G-Fest. I myself not a fan of Godzilla but this Con looks like a lot a fun. I have thinking about this for a long time. With Svengoolie doing an appearance I have a reason to check it out.

And that's exactly what I'm doing."

It's now been revealed that the book will be titled Too Much Horror Business - The Kirk Hammett Collection, and will be released this October via Abrams Images. The large-format, hardcover book will contain over 300 images from Kirk's private collection of rare memorabilia along with captions from Kirk himself. The 228-page book will also feature three extensive conversations with writer Steffan Chirazi "covering the importance of collecting in Hammett’s life from childhood."

“This is my gift to all the other horror nerds out there who are just like me,” said Kirk in a new press statement, “it’s been made with great love for all the many characters and movies which guided me through childhood, into adulthood and which still keep me on track today.”

Bankruptcy forces sale of world's most valuable sci-fi poster

Comic books aren't the only sci-fi collectibles selling at record highs these days. Rare movie posters are also getting in on the action, and the bankruptcy case of a well-known collector means the rarest poster of them all is about to head to auction. So what's it worth?

The poster in question is an art deco piece promoting Fritz Lang's 1927 silent sci-fi classic Metropolis. It's one of only four believed to survive from the film's original run, and the combination of its rarity, the film's status and the design led one expert to call it "the crown jewel of the poster world."

Collector Kenneth Schacter paid $690,000 for the poster back in 2005, a sales record that still stands. But as it heads to auction again, it's estimated that the piece could be the first poster to break the $1 million mark. Also headed to auction are Schacter's 1933King Kong poster and a 1933 teaser poster for The Invisible Man. The Kong piece is estimated to be worth nearly as much as the Metropolis poster, and Schacter's entire collection could be valued at as much as $5 million.

So why does Schacter have to unload all these goodies? Well, it's not really up to him anymore. His financial troubles date back to December of last year, when he filed for bankruptcy protection after he couldn't pay back a loan to an investor who lent him $500,000 to buy posters that would then be sold for profit. Back in March, the Metropolis poster turned up for sale on an auction site for $850,000, though Schacter estimated its value at only $250,000 in his initial bankruptcy filing. The attempted sale of the poster led to a court ruling that changed Schacter's filing from a Chapter 11 reorganization to a Chapter 7 liquidation. The three posters were seized (a list of Schacter's entire inventory was also provided), and after an investigation they will be auctioned off.

The exact date of the auction has not been announced, though it'll likely happen by the end of the year, and probably through famed collectible house Heritage Auctions. Check out the full poster below and start thinking about what you can do to raise enough cash to get your hands on it.

Collector Pack 2 is not as exciting but worthy of the price. The movies include  Bloody Murder, Bloody Murder 2, Junior, Severed,

Director: Christopher Ray

Stars:
Carmen Electra
Charlie O'Connell
Brooke Hogan

Survivors escape to a deserted island after a Semester at Sea ship is sunk by a mutated two-headed shark. But when the island starts flooding, no one is safe from the double jaws of the monster.

Oh god where do I start? OK how about Carmen Electra. I can hear how this interview went now. We need a big name to just be eye candy and very little pay, all we ask is that you do a lot of sun bathing for the tweens that are going to be watching this movie. Oh and we will throw in a line or two. Later that day. Hi Chris O'Connell you were great in the fish eating movie what do you say to a two headed shark movie? Wait Chris baby we can't pay that... What's your brother up to?

This movie always looked like fun for me and after watching Cleve Hall in the TV show Monster Man it became a must see. I can say about Hall is thank goodness he changed the design from the original, one head stacked on top of the other to the side-by-side head.

And I agree with Hall CG Monsters suck! And in this case they can not swim either. The biggest draw back has to be the over use of the CG shark. Such a great idea wasted on bad and over used graphics. But lets get to the meat of the movie we watch Horror flicks for the chicks and the death scenes along with the monster.

The cast is way too well groomed for a horror flick, but you do get plenty of boobs. And for you Girl on Girl action lovers (which I'm not a fan) it's here too. The guys are ether brains or jocks your standard slasher movie fare. Then there is Brooke Hogan... yeah... she annoyed me. Heroine is not her strong suit. All in all I would give the young cast a B-.

Now lets talk for a moment about the island. If it is uncharted and abandoned then why the hell do you see beach chairs just out of focus in the background. And come on that empty beach front is so well taken care of it's really hard to believe nobody was there. Good God Asylum dirty it up a little, you're the kings of CG I'm sure you can make it look run down. If I was to rate the locations based on what they are trying to do I would have to say D.
Look a hole that we will never talk about the rest of the movie

But wait don't go all is not lost lets talk about the Shark some more. The deaths in the movie are done very well hip hip hooray! And when they use the foam heads the shark really shines. Ray does a great job of direction with camera angles and quick edits. I don't want to give too much away but the creativity in the death scenes saves this movie. No its not block buster material, but its a lazy day way to be entertained movie. If you can look past the clean cut cast and bad CG shark it's not a bad movie. The shark attacks have you looking for more. The design for the shark should be on horror T-Shirts at conventions everywhere.

Asylum you could have had a mega hit if you would have put more thought into the locations and stop trying to put a big name on the movie. Give your young cast a shot they did better than your big names. For the sake of fan boys everywhere cut out the over done CG in all of your movie's and maybe you will have a bigger fan base.

If you have nothing better to do I would have to say give this one a shot.

Holy Super Babe's Batman! What more can you ask for in a Full Moon Features movie? You get shameless movie plugs, George Lucas style product placements and clothes that magically come off! Look this will not be the best movie of the year or for people that are looking for some over polished horror flick. But for 70 some minutes it will entertain you.

I Love You, Erica Rhodes

Sure it has plot holes and at times it feels like an infomercial but I feel it has a strong cast and a poor script. But wait that is not the point of this movie, is it? With a hot cast of five women that some horny eyeball makes them do crazy naked shit who cares about a plotline!

Here is looking at you kid.

So $10 buck's you get you a  party movie set around the time of Halloween. A great-looking cast and a fun premise. The story only drag's for a moment and the only part that I felt was super dumb was the dancing for no reason. I truly had no desire to watch this movie but in the end, I found myself having fun and that's the whole point of Horror movies right? It never takes itself series and just wants you to have fun. Just like this lame review.

So grab some buds and some beers and have fun with this. God knows I did!

You May Be the Target... of the Next Phone Call...

I Saw What You Did (1965)

Director: William Castle

Writers: William P. McGivern

Stars:
Joan Crawford
John Ireland
Leif Erickson

When two teenagers make prank phone calls to strangers, they become the target for terror when they whisper "I Saw What You Did, And I Know Who You Are!" to psychopath Steve Marek who has just murdered his wife. But somebody else knows of the terrible crime that was committed that night, the killer's desperately amorous neighbor Amy Nelson.

Did you know that during its original theatrical release some theaters installed seat-belts so you couldn't be "shocked out of your seat".  Also Joan Crawford joined the cast for $50,000 and worked only four days. She was also hired to do a cameo but in true William Castle marketing she got the top billing.
